This sheet was ‘published to the web’ on gDrive, then the link was manually embedded in an iframe.

A refresher on creating a link to a  pdf file.

Going back now, to work on the problem of how to link to PDF articles from the Publications page  Here are a few samples:

  1. Linking to a pdf file, just uploaded to the Media Library. (Pizzagalli_NPPR17).
    1. This actually looks pretty good, although the Media library will be a pile of files.
    2. Very mysterious though: the upload went to the subdirectory wp-content/uploads/2016/08, even though I uploaded the file on May 23, 2017.
    3. One potentially nice thing: when a doc is uploaded ot the media library, the little snapshot icons are generated automatically.
  2. Linking to a pdf file, by clicking on the Add Document button. (

    1. Add Document is the shortcode generator for ‘Embed any Doc’.  When I choose the local link option, it simply switches to the standard Add Media pages.
    2. The first trial simply left the shortcode stand.  This (naturally) embedded the document right in the middle of a sentence. There’s probably a way to add a link, or Open in Another Window, or something, within EmbedAnyDoc.
